Head of Quality
who we are
At prado, we build invisible home technology for the world’s best architects. Since launching our first flagship product in 2021, we have grown into a fully integrated ecosystem of lighting, ventilation, power and security solutions. Our strong R&D focus and targeted M&A strategy fuel our rapid expansion, with 150 + colleagues operating across Europe, North America and the Middle East.
To support our continued growth across three international product companies, we are looking for a Quality Lead to build and own the group quality management system. In this role, you are the guardian of quality standards across our entire product portfolio; from component sourcing through assembly to the moment our products reach the end customer. You ensure that all three operating companies work to the same rigorous quality standards, that certifications are maintained, and that quality is embedded in the way we work rather than inspected in at the end.
what you will do
Design, implement, and maintain the group quality management system: procedures, work instructions, inspection criteria, and audit framework across all three operating companies.
Ensure all three companies meet applicable product certification requirements and maintain full compliance documentation.
Define and own the group's quality standards for incoming components, in-process assembly, and finished product: translating these into practical, executable standards on the shop floor.
Build and maintain a group non-conformance management process: ensuring that quality escapes are logged, root-caused, and resolved with structural corrective actions rather than temporary fixes.
Drive the transition from quality as an end-of-line inspection activity to quality as an embedded, in-process discipline across all three companies.
Define and maintain supplier quality standards, the qualification criteria, incoming inspection requirements, and audit approach that all three companies apply to their supply base.
Manage supplier quality issues from initial escalation through root cause analysis to verified corrective action, in close collaboration with the Procurement Lead.
Define and track the group quality KPI framework: defect rates, rework rates, customer complaints, warranty returns, first-pass yield across all three companies and make performance visible in the group S&OP.
Drive cross-company quality improvement initiatives by transferring best practices between companies and building a shared culture of quality across the group.
what we are looking for
Master's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical field.
7+ years of experience in quality management within a manufacturing or assembly environment, preferably in a high-end or specification-grade product context.
Deep knowledge of quality management systems and product certification requirements relevant to electrical or mechanical assembled products.
Proven experience building and implementing quality systems from the ground up, not just maintaining inherited frameworks.
Strong understanding of supplier quality management: auditing, qualification, and corrective action processes.
Experience working across multiple sites or entities, with the ability to set standards centrally while supporting practical implementation locally.
Analytical and structured, you are comfortable with data, root cause analysis, and making quality performance visible and actionable.
Hands-on and credible on the shop floor, you earn respect through technical knowledge and practical engagement, not just through hierarchy.
A natural coach, you build quality capability in others rather than positioning yourself as the sole quality expert.
Fluent in English; additional languages (Dutch, French) are a strong asset.
what we offer
prado is a fast-scaling international company with the ambition to lead its market.
Guided by a family-driven philosophy, you will feel quickly at home thanks to our warm work environment.
You’ll work in an inspiring team that encourages passion and excellence, where ambition and collaboration go hand in hand.
The role offers a challenging scope of responsibilities, with plenty of opportunities to learn and grow.
We offer a competitive salary package tailored to your experience and skills.
