As a Certification Engineer at prado, you play a key role in ensuring our products and smart home systems meet the highest international safety and performance standards. You support the journey from innovation to compliance, making sure every solution we develop is ready for the world.

what you will do

• Manage certification processes from A to Z (CE, ENEC, CB, UL), from planning to reporting and follow-up.

• Collaborate with R&D to embed compliance early in the design phase, ensuring our solutions are both innovative and certified.

• Actively conduct hands-on testing and measurements in internal and external laboratories, including but not limited to EMC and photometric (light) measurements.

• Stay informed about changing norms and regulations (LVD, EMC, RoHS, ECO design, …) and proactively translate these into action.

• Ensure up-to-date documentation and communicate your findings clearly to internal and external stakeholders.

• Build and maintain relationships with international certification bodies to facilitate smooth certification procedures.

• Work within a growing, multidisciplinary team of passionate professionals committed to developing smarter living experiences.

what we are looking for

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Electromechanics or related fields, with at least 3 years of experience.

• A solid understanding of certification standards and processes, or a strong drive to become an expert in the field.

• Hands-on, with experience in testing, technical documentation, and compliance.

• Strong analytical skills and a structured way of working.

• Fluently in Dutch and English, both written and spoken, is essential.

• You are an independent, detail-oriented team player with a proactive mindset.
