At prado, we build invisible home technology for the world’s best architects. Since launching our first flagship product in 2021, we have grown into a fully integrated ecosystem of lighting, ventilation, power and security solutions. Our strong R&D focus and targeted M&A strategy fuel our rapid expansion, with 150 + colleagues operating across Europe, North America and the Middle East.

To support our growth, we are looking for a senior back-end engineer to strengthen our team in our Ghent or Veurne office. As we grow, our ability to move fast without breaking things depends on how well our systems support the people using them. Your mission is to ensure that the digital plumbing behind our workflows is strong, elegant, and adaptable. You will play a central role in shaping how information flows, how processes scale, and how humans and software collaborate across the entire revenue journey.

what you will do

• Own the back-end toolstack and define the architectural roadmap for internal systems

• Translate high-level requirements from Sales, Operations, and Finance into scalable, elegant technical solutions

• Lead system integration projects related to M&A, consolidating tools and workflows across acquired entities

• Build and maintain integrations between Odoo and external platforms (e.g. CRM, e-signature, billing) using APIs and SDKs

• Drive automation and tooling initiatives to optimize and scale commercial operations

• Design and launch experiments aimed at improving team efficiency and operational effectiveness

what we are looking for

• Experience in solution architecture, ERP/CRM engineering or back-end evelopment

• Deep experience with ERP-systems, preferably Odoo, including custom model development, workflow design, and business logic implementation

• Proficiency with Python and scripting for automation and customization

• A passion for clean, simple, maintainable systems

• The ability to connect dots across departments, identify cross-functional themes, and help shape a forward-looking roadmap

• Confidence working directly with non-technical stakeholders (Sales, Operations, Founders)

• A fascination with AI, and a desire to work in an environment that encourages open experimentation and exploration
